About AppCarConnect

What kind of application is AppCarConnect?
It is an application that enables Display Audio System to operate certain applications installed on an iPhone or iPod touch. For information on the applications that can be operated, refer to "iPhone/iPod touch Application Linking".
Where can I get AppCarConnect?
It can be downloaded for free from the App Store.

Which mobile devices can the application be used with?
It can be used with Apple iPhone4 and iPod touch 4G.For details, refer to "iPhone Linking Compatible Models".
Which Display Audio System can the application be used with?
It can only be used with TOYOTA Part No. 86140-74010. We plan to increase the number of compatible models in the future.

About iPhone/iPod touch Application Linking

Why are the buttons not added to the Menu screen of Display Audio System after connecting an iPhone or iPod touch?
Your device may not be compatible with Display Audio System.
Refer to "AppCarConnect Compatible Model List" and check whether your device is a compatible model.
Is the power of your iPhone or iPod touch off?
Turn on the power of your iPhone or iPod touch.
Is the dedicated application AppCarConnect installed on your iPhone or iPod touch?
To link your iPhone or iPod touch and Display Audio System, the dedicated application AppCarConnect (free) needs to be installed on your iPhone or iPod touch. Install the application from the App Store. For details on AppCarConnect, refer to "iPhone/iPod touch Preparation".
Is the link setting of AppCarConnect set to "OFF"?
Refer to "Getting and Setting an Application for Linking" and then set the link setting to "ON".
Did you connect to Display Audio System while the HOME screen was not displayed on your iPhone or iPod touch?
Connect to Display Audio System while the HOME screen is displayed on your iPhone or iPod touch (refer to "Displaying the HOME Screen").
Did you turn off the engine while your iPhone or iPod touch was connected to Display Audio System?
If the engine was turned off, disconnect the cable from your iPhone or iPod touch, display the HOME screen on your iPhone or iPod touch, and then reconnect.
Is the application you want to use one that can be operated?
Refer to "iPhone/iPod touch Application Linking" and confirm whether the application can be operated.
Why does "No applications found. Application authorization failed." appear when I touch an application button on the Menu screen of Display Audio System?
Is the application installed on your iPhone or iPod touch?
Refer to "Getting and Setting an Application for Linking" and then install the application on your iPhone or iPod touch.
Why are the application images not displayed correctly?
Your device may not be compatible with Display Audio System.
Refer to "AppCarConnect Compatible Model List" and check whether your device is a compatible model.
Why can I not use an application?
Is the screen of the application you want to operate displayed on Display Audio System?
Touch the icon of the application you want operate in the Menu screen of Display Audio System to display the screen.
The link with your iPhone or iPod touch and Display Audio System may be out of sync.
Disconnect the cable from your iPhone or iPod touch, display the HOME screen on your iPhone or iPod touch, and then reconnect.
You are out of the communication service area.
Use the application within the communication service area.
Your iPhone or iPod touch is connected to Display Audio System via both Bluetooth and the USB port.
Refer to step 4 of "CONNECT AUDIO PLAYER" on page 87 of the "'touch screen' Owner's manual" and then disconnect the Bluetooth audio connection.
Why can I not hear the audio of the iPhone or iPod touch from the speakers of the vehicle?
Your iPhone or iPod touch is connected to Display Audio System via both Bluetooth and the USB port.
Refer to step 4 of "CONNECT AUDIO PLAYER" on page 87 of the "'touch screen' Owner's manual" and then disconnect the Bluetooth audio connection.
A message is displayed and I cannot use the application. Why?
Stitcher "No applications found. Application authorization failed."
Tweet in vehicle "Login" authentication was not completed.
Facebook in vehicle "Login" authentication was not completed.
You are not logged in.
To use Stitcher, Tweet in vehicle, and Facebook in vehicle, you need to log in to the services before you connect your iPhone or iPod touch to Display Audio System.
Why is "No response from application." displayed when I try to send a post to Facebook?
You may have exceeded the limit for the number of posts.
Wait about an hour and then try again.
