Through the use of ICT devices and robot technologies, Panasonic is working to achieve a society where all individuals including foreign nationals and the physically challenged can move from one place to another safely without getting lost. Typical cases of these efforts include an information service tailored to personal characteristics by combining light ID signs and barrier-free navigation systems, which was launched at the Haneda Airport International Passenger Terminal in FY2015.

Stylish and user-friendly hearing aids are easy to handle even for elderly people who may have trouble with detailed operations.
Now, the product does not require users to put in or take out small batteries. Simply place it in the case to charge it. The hearing aid turns itself on automatically when taken out of the case. A strap that can be integrated into the main unit is included with the product, which prevents users from dropping the hearing aid while walking or jogging.

KodoMotto
The concept was sparked by comments received from about a thousand real users through a lifestyle survey to parents engaged in raising children, and eight lifestyle proposals were based on this concept. A house was built as a space to test the proposals. Company researchers and customers also evaluated it as an accommodation experience facility, and are working to further develop it. PanaHome and Panasonic are jointly developing it under the Kodomo to Sumai (Living with Children) Research Workshop.

Drones can be dangerous when they come close to people. The new concept of a large, round balloon was commended for making it possible to come close to people safely while providing a design that will make anyone seeing it smile. The bottom-up process of development where the designers took the lead and involved surrounding members, to include aesthetic value to make people smile, the roles of design going beyond functions and a good appearance to focus on emotional reactions, was commended.

Cordless stick cleaner it

A cordless stick vacuum cleaner that easily cleans narrow gaps by a flick of the wrist that causes the nozzle to stand on its side. This solves the annoying need to change nozzles to clean gaps. Part of the front of the nozzle opens up to suck in dust accumulated along walls or in corners. The mechanism enables nozzle movability and sucking power at a high level, while the simple design fits in perfectly with interiors. The stylishness achieved with no compromise in usability was much commended.

Home Elevator 1608 JOYMODERN

The combined technology and design approach for more compact hydraulic equipment and altered equipment layouts reduces the depth of the pit for the home elevator to 200 mm. This figure is extremely important for renovation of existing homes, as it removes the need to dig deeply into the ground or to suspend the foundations, shortening the installation time and reducing the cost, lowering the barriers to renovation to install a home elevator. The design was commended for matching the dimensions of Japanese housing, enabling home elevators with a space of approximately 1.6 m2 usable by easy-assist wheelchairs to be introduced, improving the quality of life in a super-aging society and encouraging utilization of housing stock.

Rechargeable Ni-MH Battery eneloop

eneloop was released in 2005 under a concept "For Life & the Earth." eneloop batteries can be recharged and reused up to 2,100 times, their energy remaining rate is at least 70% even after ten years, and they are resistant to low temperatures. They are charged with solar energy at shipment. In over ten years after their release, 370 million batteries have been shipped and sold in about 80 countries around the world. The design for eneloop which is a white battery that represents life and their packaging with an earth motif is recognized all over the world as an icon of Japan's representative rechargeable battery brand promoting a lifestyle of reuse.

The NE-710GP is a simple, compact, heavy-duty and easy-care microwave made of stainless steel.
