Shading angle

The shading angle is the angle between the limit line where the light source (lamp, etc.) no longer shines into the eyes of the viewer when looking up at a lighting fixture and the horizontal line of the lighting fixture.

The greater the shading angle, the more difficult it is for the viewer to see the light source, even when they are close to the light fixture. Thus, glare is reduced.

A: When looking up at the lighting fixture from the irradiation area
B: When looking up at the lighting fixture from the low beam area
