About one person in nine around the world lives in severe poverty and experiences hunger. Through the 100 Thousand Solar Lanterns Project, Panasonic is contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

What are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

The SDGs were adopted at the United Nations' Sustainable Development Summit on September 25, 2015 as new international goals to replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which had a deadline of 2015. The SDGs consist of 17 goals in areas that include poverty, hunger, health, education, gender, water and sanitation, energy, and more.
